Posted in the topic Anyone used the Ford workshop at Exotic Auto Services? Curious before I book in the forum Fitness Routines
    October 19, 2026 5:19 AM PDT

My Edge is due for its major service and I've been putting off booking because I keep going back and forth on where to take it. The dealer is the safe option but the quote was painful, and the last independent I used was fine for an oil change but I wouldn't trust them with anything bigger. A colleague mentioned the Ford workshop at Exotic Auto Services and said he'd used them for a couple of years without any drama, which is a decent sign, but I wanted to see if anyone else here has experience with them. Specifically I'm curious whether they use genuine parts and whether they're upfront about what actually needs doing versus what can wait. I don't want to be sold a bunch of extras I didn't ask for. If you've used them, how was the communication and did the final bill match the quote?

Posted in the topic PPF quotes are all over the place, what's actually a fair price? in the forum Fitness Routines
    October 19, 2026 4:48 AM PDT

I've been getting quotes for paint protection film and the range is honestly confusing, one place quoted less than half what another did for what they described as the same coverage. That gap makes me suspicious, either the cheap one is using budget film or the expensive one is just marking it up heavily. I'm near Khalifa City so I've been looking into affordable PPF pricing for cars in Khalifa City, but I want to understand what actually drives the cost before I choose. Is it the film brand, the coverage area, the installer's skill, or all three? And is it worth paying a premium for full front end versus just the bumper and bonnet? I'd rather know what I'm paying for than just pick the middle quote and hope for the best.

Posted in the topic GMC gearbox feels hesitant, and the dealer quote was hard to swallow in the forum Fitness Routines
    October 19, 2026 3:31 AM PDT

My Sierra has started hesitating when shifting from second to third, especially when the engine's cold, and it's been getting more noticeable over the past month. The dealer quoted me for a full overhaul that I can't really justify on a truck this age, and they didn't seem interested in looking for a simpler fix first. I came across alzaabiautocare.com/brands/gmc while trying to find someone who actually knows these gearboxes, but I'd rather hear from owners than trust a listing. Has anyone had similar hesitation on a Sierra and what did it turn out to be? I'm hoping it's a fluid or solenoid issue rather than a rebuild, but I'd rather know what I'm in for before committing to anything expensive.

Posted in the topic Car feels sluggish after servicing, is that normal or did something go wrong? in the forum Fitness Routines
    October 19, 2026 3:03 AM PDT

Had a full service done last week and since then the car feels slightly off, not dramatically, but the throttle response seems lazier and it's idling a touch rougher. I'm wondering if I'm imagining it or if something wasn't done right. They said they changed the oil, filters and plugs, so it should feel better if anything. I'm near Musaffah Shabiya so I've been looking at Full vehicle servicing near Musaffah Shabiya to see if I should just take it back to the same place or get a second look elsewhere. Has anyone had a car feel worse after a service? And is it worth going back to complain or will they just tell me it's in my head? I don't want to be that customer but I also don't want to ignore something that might be a real issue.
