Path of Exile 3.29, Curse of the Allflame, is starting to look less like a single gimmick and more like a tidy-up of the whole game. The launch is set for July 24 at 1:00 PM PDT, or July 25 at 4:00 AM in Beijing. Before that, the full reveal arrives on July 16. If you're planning your league-start budget, even basic POE currency preparation matters, because the new mechanics could make early gearing feel very different.
The teasers have shown a dark sea, a lantern and something moving below the surface. The latest clip, They Rise Again, adds to the underground mystery, but it doesn't confirm a mine rework or a new expedition-style system. That distinction is worth keeping in mind. Players are already filling in the blanks, as they always do before a reveal. The safer reading is that the nautical and underground themes may be connected parts of one league mechanic, perhaps with players pushing from ordinary maps into more dangerous hidden encounters.
What stands out more than the atmosphere is the focus on clarity. The Animate Guardian equipment window should let players check what their Guardian is wearing instead of relying on memory. That sounds small until you've returned to an old character and wondered whether the support helmet, chest piece or resistance item is still equipped. Keyword explanations are aimed at the same problem. PoE1 can stay complicated without making basic information difficult to find. Tidebreaker's Brine Charges also fit this pattern: the weapon offers a new direction, but it asks players to weigh elemental damage against the defensive value of Endurance Charges.
Early Build Signals From the Confirmed Teasers
| Option | Main demand | Likely concern |
|---|---|---|
| Holy Hammers of Spirals | Power Charge cycling | Slow charge recovery |
| Reap of Butchery | Close-range physical DoT | Surviving cast windows |
Those two Transfigured Skills shouldn't be treated as simple upgrades. Holy Hammers of Spirals consumes every Power Charge, so a large maximum alone won't solve the problem. You'll need a reliable refill loop and decent positioning. Reap of Butchery appears to trade speed and range for stronger physical damage over time near the character. It may work well, but only if the build can handle standing close to dangerous targets. Tidebreaker faces a similar test. The idea is interesting; the final numbers will decide whether it becomes a real build choice or just a niche curiosity.
Mirage ends on July 20 at 3:00 PM PDT, several days before Allflame launches, and its core system won't move into the permanent game. Some rewards, including Astrolabes and Exceptional Support Gems, will remain, while other items and map effects will disappear from normal access. For now, it's best to finish Mirage challenges, practise a flexible starter and avoid locking in a passive tree before the patch notes. Once the reveal lands, players can judge the league mechanic, Brine Charge interactions and new skill values properly, then decide where their POE divine orbs should go without chasing rumours.
