I'm not a mechanic and honestly I wouldn't know where to start looking, but I've been told to get it sorted before I drive it any real distance. A friend mentioned BMW Garage leak repair as somewhere that actually knows these engines, and I'm considering it but I wanted to check here first. My main question is whether I can safely drive it to a garage or if I should get it towed, because the temperature gauge has been sitting normal and there's no warning light yet. I really don't want to make things worse by being impatient. Has anyone here had a coolant leak that turned out to be something simple rather than a nightmare? I could use some reassurance right now because I'm already mentally spending money I don't have.
