I usually inspect the full shape before tapping, because the best target is often not the first reward that catches the eye.

The Resource Plan I Use

Clucking Riches is the useful companion event during this run. Its points come from landing on selected board spaces, and its milestone track can supply more Pickaxes, Dice Rolls, cash, and other event materials. I save Dice until several useful targets are close together, then raise the multiplier only when the expected return justifies it.

Another mistake is treating every board as equally valuable. Later layouts generally provide stronger milestone rewards, so I prefer saving enough Pickaxes to reach them instead of spending everything on early discoveries. Players with limited Dice should focus on guaranteed daily rewards and stop pushing once the next milestone costs more than it returns.

Buying extra resources only makes sense after checking the remaining milestones, available Dice, and time left on the clock.
