ARC Raiders' Patch 1.18.0, released on March 3, 2026, may not be a massive content drop, but it brings some important changes that refine the experience. This update mostly focuses on fixing exploits, rebalancing loot, and smoothing out a few bugs and performance issues. Rather than adding new features, Embark Studios worked on making the game feel more polished and balanced, addressing mechanics that had become a bit too effective or that disrupted the flow of the game ARC Raiders Coins.
One of the major changes is around the Safe Pocket mechanic and the Safekeeper Augment. Previously, there was an exploit that allowed players to stash weapons in their safe pocket without the Safekeeper Augment, which meant they could bypass the intended risk of leaving gear behind on failed raids. The patch also fixes an issue where the Snaphook could be put into the safe pocket while it was in use, messing with the intended flow of traversal and extraction. After applying the update, players will face a more balanced risk/reward situation when deciding what gear to bring or leave behind.
Another important tweak is to the First Wave Caches on the Hurricane map condition. The drop rate for rare blueprints has been slightly lowered, while the drop rate for high-tier materials has been increased. The change was made to shift the focus away from blueprint hoarding and towards more valuable crafting resources. Embark explained that players had gotten so good at looting these caches that they were walking away with multiple rare blueprints in a single raid, which felt a bit too rewarding. This adjustment is meant to keep caches rewarding but more balanced and interesting from a strategic standpoint.
There was also a small hotfix for the Dam Controlled Access Zone, a map-specific area that was either too hard, too easy, or just not behaving as it should. While the patch notes don't go into detail about what exactly was wrong, the fix reflects Embark's continued work to fine-tune smaller map areas and improve the overall experience.
On the systems side, the update addresses a couple of annoying issues that could disrupt a raid. One fix improves performance, specifically targeting some ARC instances that were causing occasional drops in frame rate, especially towards the end of longer raids. Another fix handles a rare crash that could occur when players navigated to the Player Proximity menu. Both of these fixes should make longer sessions feel more stable, allowing players to push deeper into late-game content without too many disruptions.
There are also some important quest-related fixes, including one for the "Worth Your Salt" quest line. This fix corrects a bug that prevented the final stage of the quest from completing if another player had already finished it in the same raid. This could be a huge frustration for players trying to complete quests for augments, cosmetics, or other rewards, so this change will definitely improve the experience for anyone grinding through those quests.
Patch 1.18.0 is a solid update, even if it doesn't bring major new content. Embark's focus on fixing exploits, rebalancing loot, and improving game stability shows that they're in a post-launch tuning phase, making sure the core experience is as fair and rewarding as possible buy ARC Raiders weapons.
